Given the interest that Bizerta Economic Activities Park bears to sustainable development, it joined the "Clean Production Project" since its launch. This project is implemented by the International Centre for Environmental Technologies of Tunis in collaboration with international experts of the Swiss Suisse Council office in Industrial Ecology and funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs through the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It aims to identify economic potentials related to improving the management of resources (energy, water and raw materials), through waste recovery, the pooling of certain services (waste management, security, etc ...) or infrastructure sharing. The year 2015 saw the completion of this pilot action on Industrial Ecology.
